when I get a 3D printer soon I wanna work on a lego style building system compatible for larger scale stuff. 1x scale lego sucks to print cause the tolerances are wrong, but 2x with some modifications might be great.

Also not a fan at now being an adult and lego being so tiny to work with compared to as a kid, especially with the current trend towards micro details. Having giant ass bricks and figs would be great!!!

got antsy and already started a design, I’ve always wanted perfect cubed bricks, and also added thicker walls and more interior to ensure strength and a snug fit. everything will change though once its printed in hand a few months from now

Also, while printing your own bricks is a fun differentiator, y'know what’d be kinda cool? What if I made a game based around the bricks where you could collect them in an open world, and then either use them or send them off to your printer 🤯 it deletes it in the game but then appears physically 🤯

Like an idea would be like, infinite open world, but segmented in the vein of old Zelda dungeons, where each “chunk” is its own playset to travel to 🤯 and then you can print out the instructions for any set or any base you yourself build so then your memories ingame can become physical items!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
