with being a queer creative unfortunately there is a weird pressure people have on you to be a “good queer” a “role model” but these standards aren’t really applied to our cishet peers as much and it’s really annoying. it’s kinda why I’m a freak who speaks my mind on here sometimes because I refuse to be an “uwu wholesome relatable queer creative” I’m a living being not a brand.
this is 10x worse for trans creatives (especially transfems/trans women) who people will go through extreme lengths to ruin their lives over something small as being horny or stupid opinion. the double standards are scary, and I say to people, be true and yourself, don’t change for people who won’t appreciate you in the end.
