Random obsession but was looking up old buildings and found this old ass Pizza Hut express and was like “cool I wanna see more pics”

And then online everything was saying Pizza Hut Express didn’t come out till like 2000’s and I’m like ?????

So I find out this is somehow a test location that was done like 20 years before it became a thing, in 1989. Managed to find out it was close to the old headquarters.

So managed to find the one newspaper article discussing it, gives an address and explains that its actually just sitting next to a normal pizza hut as a mini drive thru.

And now its just a slab of concrete on the ground with a sign. The pizza hut closed too by like 2005. Nowhere on Pizza Hut’s history section states this, nor anything discussing the Express variant of stores.

Just a neat obscure thing absolutely nobody knew anything about, but now you do.

Uh yeah after looking into the exact height of the cars in the photos and doing some perspective correct measurements the building is 9 feet tall, 7 feet wide, and 11 feet long. No building databases have anything on this building so had to do it by hand lol.

The window ends at the midpoint of the building and its angled exactly so the top and bottom points are 2 feet apart so that’s an easy easy way to ensure I got it right
