Its so funny that TNG is what I was expecting (and wanting) star trek to be like when I started watching TOS, but now after getting through TOS and starting TNG it feels like such a downgrade to the funny trio shenanigan adventures I was watching.

Like at this point I’m watching TNG out of obligation but it doesn’t sound like any series past this point is even remotely close in tone to TOS, oh well time to hyperfixate on that forever ig
